Five get life imprisonment in separate murders | Business Standard

Five persons, including the deceased's wife and her paramour, have been sentenced to life in two separate cases of by the Sessions  here. 

District and Sessions Judge Krishan Kumar also imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 on each of the five convicts. 

In the case relating to Jaswant's murder on the night of April 15, 2012 at nearby Kishangarh village, the court sentenced Rajesh Devi and her paramour Satish Kumar of Alwar district in  to imprisonment for life. 

According to the prosecution, Rajesh, who developed extra-marital relations with Satish, administered some sedative to her husband Jaswant. 

The victim was later strangled to death and his body dumped in a neighbouring field from where police recovered it the next morning. 

A case of murder was registered. During interrogation, Rajesh confessed to have killed Jaswant, according to copies of the verdict made available yesterday. 

In the second case pertaining to the murder of 32-year- old Yudhvir at Buroli village on the night of June 11, 2011, Sessions Judge awarded life imprisonment to three village youths - Jai Veer, Ajit and Mukesh. 

The prosecution said the three youths took away Yudhvir from his house on the pretext of having a chit-chat and stoned him to death out of enmity at a secluded place from where the body was picked up by his family members. 

The assailants fled after the family members who had reached the spot while searching Yudhvir raised an alarm. 

Subsequently, the police booked the three youths for Yudhvir's murder.
