HYDERABAD: A 35-year-old auto driver died who was admitted to the OGH after his wife and brother-in-law allegedly assaulted him succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday. Mohammed Jaffar, an auto driver from Chawni in Uppguda area of Madannapet was attacked with a boulder by his wife Fatima Begum and her brother Parvez who was in an inebriated condition in the wee hours of Wednesday, police said.
The duo took Jaffar in his auto to dump him in an isolated area, but the auto broke down at Rein Bazar and the duo fled from the spot. Locals noticed the injured Jaffar in the auto and alerted police which shifted him to OGH where he succumbed , said Madannapet additional inspector KVP Raju. Both the accused are absconding. tnn
A case was registered under section 302 (Murder) of the IPC. A manhunt was launched to nab the offenders.
